Comedian and TV host shares 5 easy tips for a healthier lifestyle

(BPT) – Falling off the healthy lifestyle bandwagon can be tough to overcome, but taking a small step with one healthy habit can lead to long-term routines. Comedian and co-host of “The Talk” Sheryl Underwood doesn’t have time to feel sluggish and weighed down, so she is sharing five easy ways to live a healthier life.

1 – Try the Psyllium Fiber in Metamucil.

In the beginning of 2019, I decided to take the first step toward a healthier lifestyle by partnering with Metamucil to take the Metamucil Two-Week Challenge. It was super easy, all I had to do was take my favorite Metamucil once a day for 14 days in a row! I was more regular and started to feel lighter and more energetic.* I felt so good that I’ve kept going ever since! I get my day off to a great start and the extra boost keeps me going all day.

2 – Skip the elevator.

After I started feeling lighter with my daily Metamucil, my other healthy lifestyle goals were so much easier to tackle, especially while traveling. Walking more and taking the stairs are super easy ways to get in my daily exercise!

3 – Drink more water.

Once I got into a groove with my Metamucil and exercise habits, other healthy habits started to follow. I realized I was starting to drink more water throughout the day. Staying hydrated is so important when I’m on set or behind the mic and that habit became more attainable because of my other simple habits.

4 – Sleep!

I always try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. It may not always happen with my 5 a.m. call time, but I do my best to make sleep a priority so that I can wake up feeling my best and ready to go!

5 – Take time to meditate.

When I’m constantly taping or on the road for a tour, it’s really important for me to take time to stop and meditate every day for at least 20 minutes. It is not a big time commitment but it is helpful to me for staying focused and relaxed!
